Ingredient Sourcing & Manufacturing

Last Updated and Effective: 14 May 2026

Every element³ product is manufactured in New Zealand using ingredients selected for purity, efficacy, and traceability. Here's where each comes from and why.

[ 01 ] Our Approach

Why sourcing matters

The quality of a supplement is set long before the bottle is sealed. It starts with the ingredients — where they’re grown, how they’re harvested, who processes them, and whether they meet the purity standards we promise.

element³ takes ingredient sourcing seriously because the women who take our products do. Sleep, energy, hormonal balance — these aren’t areas where you can afford a generic raw material from an unknown supplier. This page explains our approach, our standards, and our partners.

[ 02 ] Manufactured in New Zealand

Why we make here

Every element³ product is manufactured in New Zealand. We chose to manufacture locally for three reasons:

  • Regulatory rigour — NZ’s dietary supplement framework, combined with our manufacturer’s GMP certification, gives us tight oversight on every batch
  • Supply chain transparency — local manufacturing means fewer touch-points, shorter timelines, and direct relationships with our production team
  • Founding ethos — we’re a New Zealand brand, built for women here first. Manufacturing locally is part of that.

Our manufacturer is [CONTENT GAP: insert manufacturer name + city], a [CONTENT GAP: GMP/HACCP/etc.]-certified facility that has been producing dietary supplements since [CONTENT GAP: year]. They specialise in [CONTENT GAP: encapsulation / powder blending / liquid manufacture / etc.].

[ 03 ] Manufacturing Standards

What "GMP" actually means for you

Our manufacturer operates to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards — a globally recognised quality framework that covers:

  • Facility hygiene — controlled environments, cleaning protocols, and contamination prevention
  • Raw material verification — every batch of every ingredient is tested for identity, purity, and potency before production
  • In-process controls — formulations are checked at multiple stages, not just at the end
  • Finished product testing — final batches are tested for active compound levels, microbial limits, heavy metals, and allergens
  • Batch traceability — every bottle has a batch code that traces back to the exact raw materials, production run, and testing certificates
  • Documentation — every step is logged, signed, and retained for a minimum of 7 years

What this means for you: when you take an element³ product, the dose on the label is the dose in the capsule — within tight, tested tolerances.

[ 04 ] Ingredient Origins

Where each active comes from

We don’t claim every ingredient is sourced from New Zealand — that wouldn’t be honest. Some ingredients (like saffron, ashwagandha, or specific mineral forms) are sourced from regions where the species grow natively or where the manufacturing standards are highest. What we do guarantee is that every ingredient is traceable to a verified supplier.

Rise — key actives:

  • [CONTENT GAP: Ingredient] — sourced from [CONTENT GAP: country/region], grown by [CONTENT GAP: supplier name or a network of certified organic growers]. Certifications: [CONTENT GAP: e.g. organic, non-GMO, fair trade]
  • [CONTENT GAP: Ingredient] — sourced from [CONTENT GAP: country/region]. Certifications: [CONTENT GAP]
  • (Continue for each active ingredient)

Rest — key actives:

  • [CONTENT GAP: Ingredient] — sourced from [CONTENT GAP: country/region]. Certifications: [CONTENT GAP]
  • (Continue for each active ingredient)

For a full ingredient list with origins, see the Ingredients section of each product page.

[ 05 ] What We Test For

Every batch, every time

Every batch of every element³ product is tested before release. Standard tests include:

  • Identity testing — confirming each raw ingredient is what the supplier says it is (using HPLC, FTIR, or microscopy depending on the ingredient)
  • Active compound assay — measuring the actual milligrams of active per capsule against the label claim
  • Microbial limits — testing for total aerobic count, yeasts, moulds, and pathogens (Salmonella, E. coli, S. aureus)
  • Heavy metals — testing for lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic against international safety limits
  • Allergen verification — confirming the absence of declared and undeclared allergens

We retain the certificate of analysis for every batch for a minimum of 7 years. If you’d like to see the test results for the batch on your bottle, email us at quality@element3.co.nz with the batch number — we’ll send you the relevant certificates.

[ 06 ] Certifications

What we're certified for (and what we're not)

Our manufacturer holds:

  • [CONTENT GAP: GMP certification — issuing body, e.g. NZ Ministry for Primary Industries]
  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. HACCP, ISO 22000]
  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Halal, Kosher if applicable]

At the product level:

  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Vegan certified by the Vegan Society — confirm per product]
  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Free from gluten, dairy, soy — confirm per product]

We don’t claim certifications we don’t hold. If a specific certification matters to you and you don’t see it listed, email us and we’ll tell you the status candidly.

[ 07 ] Sustainability

What we're doing, what we're working on

Sustainability is an area where we want to be honest rather than aspirational. Here’s where we are:

What we do today:

  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Bottles are PET 1, recyclable in NZ kerbside collection]
  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Packaging is FSC-certified card]
  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Shipping cartons use minimum 80% recycled content]

What we’re working on:

  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Refill scheme for subscribers — in development, target 2026]
  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Carbon footprint measurement — underway with [partner], target 2027]
  • [CONTENT GAP: e.g. Supplier audits for ethical sourcing — phased rollout]

What we don’t yet do:

  • [CONTENT GAP: Be transparent about what isn’t in place, e.g. carbon offsetting, B Corp certification, etc. List honestly.]

We’ll update this section as commitments are made and met.

[ 08 ] Animal Testing

We don't, and never have

element³ products are not tested on animals at any stage of development, manufacturing, or quality control. Our manufacturer confirms in writing that no ingredient in our supply chain has been tested on animals on our behalf.

This applies in every jurisdiction we sell into. We will not enter markets where animal testing is required for supplement registration.

[ 09 ] Questions

Ask us anything

If you have a question about a specific ingredient, supplier, certification, or batch — ask. Email quality@element3.co.nz and we’ll respond honestly. If we don’t know the answer, we’ll find out.

Sourcing transparency only works if you can verify what we say. We’re committed to that standard.
