Accessibility Statement

Last Updated and Effective: 14 May 2026

Wellness should be accessible to every woman who wants it. Here's our commitment, our standards, and how to tell us when we fall short.

[ 01 ] Our Commitment

Accessibility is a baseline, not a feature

element³ is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability, technology, or context. We believe accessibility is a foundational design principle — not an add-on — and we work to maintain and improve our standards continuously.

This statement applies to element3.co.nz and any subdomain we operate.

[ 02 ] Conformance Target

WCAG 2.1 Level AA

We design and build element3.co.nz to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the international standard for digital accessibility published by the W3C.

WCAG 2.1 AA is also the standard referenced by:

  • The EU Accessibility Act (effective June 2025)
  • The US Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III
  • The UK Equality Act 2010
  • The NZ Web Accessibility Standard (we apply it voluntarily)

[ 03 ] What We Do

Practices we follow

To meet our conformance target, we:

  • Build with semantic HTML so screen readers can interpret structure correctly
  • Provide text alternatives for all meaningful images
  • Ensure colour contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios
  • Support keyboard-only navigation across all interactive elements
  • Use clear visible focus indicators
  • Write in plain language and avoid unnecessary jargon
  • Test with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA) and keyboard-only navigation
  • Audit new pages and components before launch

[ 04 ] Known Limitations

Where we're still working

We're honest about where our site isn't perfect yet. Current known limitations:

  • Some third-party embedded content (reviews widget, payment provider iframes) may not fully meet WCAG AA — we're working with vendors to improve this
  • Older blog posts may have accessibility issues we're remediating progressively
  • PDF documents linked from the site may not all be tagged for screen readers — please email us if you need an accessible version

We update this list as we identify or fix issues.

[ 05 ] Need an Accommodation?

We'll work with you

If you can't access part of our website, or you'd prefer to order or get information in a different format, we're here to help. Options include:

  • Email orders — place your order by emailing us; we'll process it and send confirmation
  • Phone support — talk to us directly about products, ingredients, or your account
  • Plain-text product information — request product details in a non-image, screen-reader-friendly format
  • Large-print printable summaries — for any document on our site

Contact us at accessibility@element3.co.nz with your needs and we'll respond within 2 business days.

[ 06 ] Reporting a Barrier

Help us improve

If you encounter an accessibility issue on our site, we want to know about it. Please email accessibility@element3.co.nz with:

  • The page URL where you encountered the issue
  • A brief description of what didn't work for you
  • The assistive technology, browser, and device you were using (if relevant)

We'll acknowledge your report within 2 business days and aim to resolve issues within 30 days. If a fix will take longer, we'll let you know and offer an alternative way to access the information.

[ 07 ] Ongoing Improvement

This is a living commitment

Accessibility is never "done." We review our practices quarterly, train our team annually, and audit the full site at least once a year. This statement is updated whenever our conformance status changes materially.
